Thu, Jan 8, 2009

Market News

Below is the latest interest rate of the major global traded currencies:

1. NZD – 5.0%
2. AUD – 4.25%
3. EUR – 2.00%
4. GBP – 1.50%
5. CAD – 1.50%
6. CHF – 0.50%
7. USD – 0.25%
8. JPY – 0.10%

Typically a rate change will warrant a spike in price movement of the currency so it is important for intra-day forex traders to note the date of rate announcement for these major currencies. Next week (15th Jan) EUR will see another rate announcement so keep a watch for it.
